Strategic Marketing and Executive Coaching Testimonials
“Even though the Hosiery Association (THA) has been around for close to a century, it was critically important for THA to re-engineer itself to ensure a successful legacy going forward. By working with G-Force, we were able to develop a strategic vision that positions THA more effectively in the current industry environment. By sharing the vision and garnering the support of the association’s leadership, we believe we have put into place a viable infrastructure that is more reflective of the membership’s needs. We have adopted a philosophy that not only are we going to remain alive, we are going to thrive.
Additionally, G-Force has done an outstanding job for me personally by serving as my executive coach. Everyone needs someone to bounce ideas off and there is truth in the saying…”it can be lonely at the top.” By working with G-Force as my coach, I believe that I have strengthened my own self-confidence and created a clearer picture in my mind in where I want to direct my life’s path both personally and professionally.”
The Hosiery Association
“When I started working with G-Force, I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my career. I work for a demanding company in which I want to continue to succeed, and at the same time, I want to keep a balance between work/family life. This has caused quite a bit of anxiety on my part. I would ask myself, “How can I do both well?” G-Force listened empathetically to my desires and concerns and helped me build a timeline to accomplish my personal and professional goals.
GE Industrial Systems
I have worked with G-Force and Gina Columna in several areas over the past few years – from Group Facilitation to Strategic Development. I found the most beneficial experience with Gina was her direct work with me in Executive Coaching. With her insight and balanced holistic approach considering business need, organizational need, and personal well-being, she facilitated the development of an actionable forward strategy. Gina challenged my thought process to bring my core values to the forefront. I walked away empowered with a rekindled passion for moving forward.
When Gina and I were working on my business logo and stationery, she encouraged me to put emcee on my cards. I laughed and thought she was crazy. After all, I had only done minor things like talking at my stepfather's 80th birthday party and for the mission trip slide show program at my church. I did not consider myself an emcee when I compared myself to other "professionals" and felt I was not in the same class.
When I mentioned my interest in helping with the Carolina's Carrousel Coronation and Awards Ceremony, she asked what I needed to do to get in. I took the step and said something to my mother-in-law, who passed the info onto her friends that were in charge. They already had the person in place and I didn't help in 2002.
In February, the Charlotte Observer printed an interview with me by one of their columnist. The next day after it ran, I saw the Director of the Carrousel at a funeral and she mentioned she had seen the article. I took that opportunity and sent her a letter expressing my interest in helping with the Carrousel in some way. I have known her for many years. Last year I helped with the practices, but didn't get to emcee because a TV commentator had the job.
What happened though, was that I was in the right place at the right time to offer to speak when their keynote canceled the morning of the event. I gave my first keynote given to over 400 people. I was scared to death.
This year I helped again in October with the orientation for the girls competing for the title. The plan was for me to co-emcee this year’s event with someone from TV but the station could not offer their assistance this year. Therefore the executive has decided that I will be the sole emcee for this years 2004 Carolina's Carrousel Coronation and Awards Ceremony.
Gina, I know this is long email, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your push, motivation, support and encouragement to get me here.

Working with Gina has allowed me to take my life to the next level. Gina helps me to clearly define my goals, and get them accomplished.
I shared my dreams with Gina a year ago, and she helped me create a step-by-step plan to achieve them. Her coaching has given me great confidence in myself. I quit my 9-5 job and am pursuing my passion — photography. This is something that I have only dreamed about for 10 years. With Gina's guidance, I am creating a life that I love.
Gina became my coach the year following the death of my wife. I had just gone through a two year battle with her having cancer. The year following her death was devoted to helping me become "whole" again. I told Gina that I felt like a puzzle that all the pieces had been turned upside down and I needed help in putting it back together again.
Gina's sincerity, intuitiveness and insights were most helpful. At the end of each session, I left feeling as if I was moving through the grief process in my own way and was moving forward. The feeling that I had one year later was incredible. I had done "my life's work" as Gina said, and was clear on my purpose and where I was going. I still live with the grief of the loss of my wife, but it is now moved to a much higher level.
I met Gina as part of the Leadership Development curriculum at the McColl School of Business. At first I was skeptical. I had never worked with a coach before nor did I really think I needed one. Gina worked with me to help me identify the next step in my career and establish action plans to meet it. Most importantly, she helped me to make sure that career and my life work together, and not in competition with each other. She held me accountable for following through on those "networking" activities that are so easy to put off.
As a result of working with Gina, I was able to identify and land the perfect career opportunity at the bank that fit everything I was looking for personally and professionally. I am confident that if it had not been for Gina, I would have never even known this opportunity existed.
Bank of America
I was at a difficult point in my life professionally. I had just moved to a new city and started a job that didn’t fit well with my goals or personality. The work hours were cutting into my personal time, and I felt very off-center. I was scared to look for work because of the economy but desperately longed for a new situation. Gina’s coaching helped me align my personal and professional goals while focusing my energy on the actions that would impact my life positively.
The result: I found a new job that I love and regained my sense of balance. I could not have accomplished this without a little help and am so grateful to Gina.”
